Getting to us
We are so excited to have you all in Sicily! Knowing that a good amount of you will be traveling from the United States, we recommend arriving no later than Wednesday, November 13th, or earlier in order to properly get adjusted to the time zone.
Scopello is approximately a 40-minute drive from Palermo airport, 1 hour from Trapani airport, or if you're making a trip of it, 4 hours from Catania airport.
There are plenty of options for getting to Sicily. We'd recommend flying into one of the below airports.
We recommend connecting through Rome or Milan (or any other major European hubs) that have many daily flights direct to Trapani or Palermo. Booking these legs separately is usually less expensive.
Flights are released around 6 months in advance so don't worry if you can't see any good flights just yet!
Palermo Multiple flights in/out each day / 40 minutes drive to Scopello.
Trapani Flights twice a week only/ 1 hour drive to Scopello/ (Easy access to Scopello via the once-a-day bus)
Catania Multiple flights in/out each day / 4 hours drive to Scopello
Below are a few transportation options once you land in Palermo to get to Scopello.
Please make sure to fill out our Travel Form!
Taxi and/or Shuttle Service
While there are no ride-share services in Sicily, these two taxis allow you to book your travel in advance: In Sight Sicily (https://insightsicily.com/) and Blu Taxi Castellammare del Golfo (https://www.taxicastellammaredelgolfo.it/) You can book online or via WhatsApp in advance.
Car Rental (highly recommended)
This is the best option if you want to explore while you are here in Sicily. A reminder that the majority of cars in Italy are manual transmissions, so if you are not comfortable with that, make sure to book in advance an automatic transmission car.
Moreover, driving from both airports, around Castellammare del Golfo, Trapani, and Erice is very simple… But we would caution you away from driving into the city of Palermo unless you feel quite comfortable driving in foreign/chaotic traffic conditions but if Lucianna can do it, you probably can too.

Where to stay
The town of Scopello is a quaint and small historic town. Since our wedding is in November which is a quieter month, we recommend everyone who isn’t staying at Tonnara Di Scopello, to stay in Castellamare De Golfo. There will be many restaurants open and there are a lot of hotel options that I will be reccomending soon! If you have any questions, please reach out to me!
