THATS AMORE

THATS AMORE

  • November 15th in Scopello, you can expect daytime temperatures around 18-22°C (64-72°F), with evening lows around 15-16°C (59-60°F) It can be windy since we are on the coast so bring a jacket, shawl, or two.

Water temperatures are likely to be approximately 20-21°C (68-70°F), which is relatively mild, though slightly cool for swimming depending on personal preference. Bring your swim gear and make sure to do a cold plunge in the sea! We certainly will and this is perfect to do at the Tonnara during our pizza party after the wedding!

Rain is possible as November typically sees around seven to nine rainy days, so it may be worth planning for both clear and potentially wet weather conditions. Overall, this date is likely to bring a pleasantly warm day with a cooler, but not frigid, evening.

  • DONT! Forget your passport. Please. Haha

Layers and Comfortable Shoes: Italy’s weather can vary greatly depending on the region and time of year, so pack layers. Comfortable walking shoes are essential for cobblestone streets and exploring historical sites. The same goes for our event, make sure to choose a shorter heel or bring extra shoes to change into! You might find me barefoot by the end of the night!

Google Maps is my favorite thing to use while traveling. Check your cell carrier for international plans as this is extremely helpful for ubers & maps. Also if you rent your car, we love it when it has Apple carplay for directions!

Renting a car in Sicily is highly reccomended, as it provides the flexibility to explore the island’s scenic countryside, coastal towns, and historic sites at your own pace. Public transportation can be limited, especially in rural areas, so having a car allows you to easily reach hidden gems that might otherwise be difficult to access. Plus, you'll be free to set your own schedule and stop for impromptu visits to vineyards, beaches, or charming villages along the way.

Bring outlet converters & check the voltage on hair dryers, steamers, etc. Dont want you to have a blow out.

Carry Some Cash: While credit cards are widely accepted, some small shops, markets, and cafes may only accept cash. Having some Euros on hand is a good idea, there are a lot of ATMs around, just pop that into your google maps.

Meal Times Differ: Italians typically eat lunch between 12:30 PM and 2:30 PM, and dinner starts around 7:30 PM to 9:00 PM. Many restaurants close between lunch and dinner, so plan your meals accordingly.

Aperitivo Hour: Don’t miss the Italian tradition of aperitivo, usually between 5 PM and 8 PM, where you can enjoy drinks accompanied by snacks or light bites.
